Fir Cove Retreat

Fir Cove Retreat is a contemporary Airbnb haven nestled in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. The clients were inspired to work with Evergreen Construct after meeting our previous clients during a hike in DuPont National Forest. Inspired by our work, they tasked us to transform 8.5 acres of steep slope, forested land into a peaceful getaway.
The site presented several challenges, including multiple springs, soil stability issues, steep slope zoning, and the need for extensive infrastructure to support a pumped septic system.
Despite these obstacles, we carefully planned and executed the development, resulting in four distinct building sites: Upper Cabin, Lower Cabin, Barn, and House. The construction of the house and barn will take place in the second phase of the development, along with plans for cold plunges and saunas at one of the spring sites.
The Upper Cabin is a modern retreat designed for two couples or a small family, seamlessly blending contemporary design with the beauty of nature for a unique getaway. The cabin features a private hot tub, fire pit, and grilling area, perfect for enjoying time with friends. Inside, you’ll find spacious bedrooms with comfortable bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and large windows that provide stunning views. For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby hiking trails await exploration, or you can simply relax on the patio with a cup of coffee. The Upper Cabin is an ideal destination for a memorable escape.
