Lower Cabin
Fir Cove Retreat is a contemporary Airbnb haven nestled in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. The clients were inspired to work with Evergreen Construct after meeting our previous clients during a hike in DuPont National Forest. Inspired by our work, they tasked us to transform 8.5 acres of steep slope, forested land into a peaceful getaway.
The site presented several challenges, including multiple springs, soil stability issues, steep slope zoning, and the need for extensive infrastructure to support a pumped septic system.
Despite these obstacles, we carefully planned and executed the development, resulting in four distinct building sites: Upper Cabin, Lower Cabin, Barn, and House. The construction of the house and barn will take place in the second phase of the development, along with plans for cold plunges and saunas at one of the spring sites.
The Lower Cabin provides a charming and intimate escape for couples seeking a romantic getaway. Nestled in a serene setting, it is designed for those who prefer to explore local dining options, with a variety of restaurants just a short drive away. However, the cabin also boasts exceptional amenities, including a well-equipped outdoor grill perfect for preparing delicious meals amidst nature. After a day of adventure, couples can unwind in the comfortable hot tub, surrounded by soothing surroundings, making it an ideal spot for relaxation under the stars.
